We had a great time at this spacious apartment by the beach. Everything was clean, and the heaters were helpful during our winter stay. The kitchen was well prepared for cooking, coffee and oils, spices, etc were all provided. The beds and bedrooms were fine. We wish we could have used the pool - it was just too cold. 200meters to the beach and steps to a fantastic cafe, the location is the star.

Our stay at Carlos's house and Pedro's house was fantastic. The location is unbeatable, with direct access to the beach. The apartments themselves were well-equipped and comfortable, easily accommodating our group of 10 adults and 3 small children. The shared garden was a highlight, with excellent grills and plenty of space for everyone to relax. We also appreciated that apartments were close to each other, making it easy for our group to stay connected. The overall experience was wonderful, and we would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking either for a relaxing beach vacation or wave-packed surftrip.

A very nice place to stay, great location and interior for a family beach and surf holiday. The host was very helpful prior to and during our stay, cleaning service was great and check in/out went smooth. We had 12 great days in the house as a family of 6 plus two grandparents, and hope to come back some day.

Esta casa es de las mejores que hemos estado en Portugal. Tiene una zona con terraza, cuarto para tablas de surf y ducha caliente, que es alucinante cuando subes de hacer surf y tienes todo lo que necesitas. La casa es muy amplia con todas las necesidades, con zonas comunes muy bien cuidadas con piscina, jardín, barbacoa,... Y que decir de la ubicación, sales de casa y te caes literalmente al Mar y a la zona de surf. Los anfitriones muy simpáticos y atentos. Muy buen ambiente en la zona.

The house is extremely close to restaurants, amenities, shops and of course the beach. There was plenty of room for the boards where we could wash our wetsuits in the outdoor terrace, and place our boards easily in the surfboard room. Incredibly well located place. We used the outdoor BBQ and the TV was a treat to watch the football game. I came with 3 friends and the house still felt spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed. There is a relaxed atmosphere that Baleal brings.

The flat has everything whats needed for a nice surf holiday with family. We stayed there with another couple and our two kids. Its a walking distance to two beaches, bakery ,a vegan cafe and a supermarket are super close. The bed rooms are comfy, you can walk from the living room out to the garden and pool and further to the cliffs. We can recommend a stay there, communication with the host was perfect. Thanks a lot!

Casa Pedro was a really good place to stay for a surf trip. Lagide surf spot is right behind the house and it is a 300m walk to Baleal. The place itself has all the amenities needed to gave a comfortable and cozy time. The private patio is an amazing extra and very useful for surfers

Photo perfectly reflects how the house loos like. In reality it is event better.
Beach for surfing is 50-100m maximum, so no need to take the car anymore. Feet or bike and you are the king of the world looking at the sunset with a beer in front of the house.

Fantastic stay. The house is perfect for a surfing week on the beach. The 3 rooms are spacious, the kitchen completely equipped with brand new appliances as well as the living room where our 9 months old daughter Malen actually started to crawl...Direct access to Lagido break, which you can check from the main room balcony and 5 mins walk from Baleal beach breaks. The kids enjoyed the pool every day, even Malen with my help... !. we will certainly come back !

I recommend Pedro House. It is in a good location to beach and supermarket and helpfull hosts! The apartment is big and well equipped with pool and shower after surfing for wetsuits.

We stayed for the second week in October and came for the body boarding/surfing.
We too found communication during booking prompt and precise. Fernando arranged our pick up at the airport - like clockwork.

Location, location, location - as the TV programme says, this has it all. A quick walk across the grass and down the cliff to Lagido Beach (30 yards), Prainha just to the left before the peninsular and the massive Cantinho Da Baia after the peninsular. You can see the surf on all of them without leaving the apartment. The supermarket is just 200 yds down the street. Sorted!

For our party of four the apartment was extremely spacious and designed to cater for wet boards and wetsuits with washing facilities and a wet gear room area.
The kitchen was the best room in the place - large and well appointed with everything you need. Lots of stuff was provided for us - even coal/firelighters for the barbecue (though no outside light?)
Other rooms were large and adequate though the funiture/decor was a little tired in places.

The downside was the damp musty smell throughout the house. The smell was particularly bad in the wet gear room (it never let you actually dry anything) and the downstairs shower/toilet.
Our bed was always damp no matter what we did (putting heaters on opening windows etc) and affected our sleep each night. When we mentioned this to Luciana she said it was not just this apartment but EVERYWHERE in Baleal was the same. Strange?

Restaurants in Baleal were largely disappointing - the best place to go in our opinion is the Three House bar at the Baleal end of the peninsular. Good basic, tasty food and drinks, friendly staff, cool vibe - day and night.

As others have said Baleal is a surfing paradise geared up for surfers/boogers. It is in a beautiful area of a beautiful country.
We took a taxi to Caldas Da Raina and had a lovely day in an historic town. It can be hard to find a taxi though - they don't 'drive around' around as such and the buses are scarce.
Would love to come back especially if we can find somewhere without the damp!

I highly recommend Pedro House to anyone coming to Baleal. It is in a perfect location 2 minutes from Baleal beach and the owners are incredible helpfull! The apartment was spotlessly clean, very spacious and well equipped with everything from coffee to wifi and a practical shower for after surfing.

Perfectly located very close to several beaches – the nearest being just outside the back gate and you are right on the cliffs overlooking a beautiful beach. The Baleal area is a surfer’s paradise. The beaches are ideal for surfing. Even if you are not surfing, this area is wonderful with lots of interesting cliffs and beaches among other things. The Pedro House is spacious and had plenty of room for a family of 5 like us. The house was spotlessly clean when we arrive. The place is equipped with everything you need – like kitchen equipment, dishwasher, washing machine etc. One of our favorite features is the shed with a sink and shower. Perfect for cleaning up before entering the house thus minimizing the sand in the house itself. Communication with Fernando during the reservation process was quick and precise and Luciana did everything to make us feel welcome when we arrived. During our stay they even contacted us to tell us about events taking place in the area. We really enjoyed our stay at the Pedro House and can clearly recommend it to others.

The house is furnished and stocked. It has everything you could need for a relaxing getaway with easily up to 7 people! It is located in an apartment block with really friendly cafes, restaurants, supermarket near by and a short walk to an amazing beach or drive to town of peniche where you can get a boat ride to one magic day at Berlenga island. The photos are actually true perspective, they are as big as they look. The hosts are lovely and their English intermediate - but their warmth and enthusiasm makes you feel right at home.

We stayed in Pedro House for two weeks summer 2015. Accommodation was clean and comfortable - well equipped kitchen and great to have three bathrooms and a wet room for a family with three teenagers! Location is ideal for beaches and restaurants. We hired a car and explored the area - Obidos is fabulous. Sunsets are lovely and the sound of the sea are relaxing. This is a place to relax, unwind and enjoy the surf.

Pedros house is great for a bit bigger group of people- 3 bedrooms and very well equipped kitchen. Location is excellent- 3 minutes to the beach and new supermarket has been opened just 200 m from the house. very clean yard (shared) for relaxing and sunbathing and even a pool. Thus it is not warmed, it was quite ok to have a quick swim even in late April. Luciana and Fernando are really helpful people to get hints of local restaurants etc. Highly recommended. at spring time rock floors can be a bit chilly so remember to bring warms socks.
